New Pennsylvania Trooper Gets Badge, Number From Dad

Anthony Sist’s career is mimicking his father’s, right down to his law enforcement badge number.

The Hazle Township man graduated from the Pennsylvania State Police Academy in December, about 27 years after his father, Daniel.

The elder Sist presented Anthony with his badge during graduation ceremonies at Central Dauphin High School in Harrisburg.

“He actually has the same badge number I had. It was reissued,” said Daniel, who retired as a state police sergeant from the Hazleton barracks in 2010.
