Boston, MA (October 5, 2012) Last Memorial Day, 7 year old Dracut resident, Kaylee Wiroll raised over $1400 to donate a bullet and stab protective vest for K9 Joka of the Suffolk County Sheriff’s department through the East Taunton, nonprofit, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The life-saving body armor costs $1031 and the vest was embroidered in memory of the beloved Wiroll family Rottweiler, Brady. The remaining funds were combined with general donations to help an additional police K9.
In an effort to continue to help the police K9s, Kaylee is currently being featured in the 2013 Vested Interest in K9s Calendar in the month of September with Corporal Tim Frates and K9 Joka of the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department.
On Saturday, October 13, 2012, 10am-2pm, Kaylee will be appearing with the K9 team from the Suffolk County Sheriff’s department at Skipton’s Pet Center 274 Southampton St. Boston, MA autographing calendars, which are available for purchase onsite for $15. “Big Blue” the Vested Interest in K9s costumed police dog character will be on site for a photo taking opportunity.
