Hillsboro Police Officer Mike Lee described Bosco, a tough German shepherd with a warm heart, as the ultimate patrol partner. The dog was loyal to his handler. Diligent. Easy to please. And he never talked back.
Lee and his canine partner shared a passion for catching suspected criminals: They jogged across grassy fields, trekked through blackberry bushes, squeezed into crawl spaces and climbed into attics to find their targets.
“We’ve pretty much done it all,” Lee said.
