Police officer finds another meaning of ‘shoot’

As a veteran of the Newark Police Department and a current member of the Morris County Park Police, Officer Paul J. Williams knows what it means to discharge a firearm.

But on June 29, Williams was shooting with something different: a camera.

On that day, he gathered a cast and crew of about a dozen people to direct “Stable,” a short film for which he also wrote the screenplay.

The experience was eye-opening for Williams, who lives in the Annandale section of Clinton Township.
