Grand Chute and Clintonville will soon have a more versatile police force as their police departments prepare to introduce K9 units to their patrol divisions.
Last November when a Fox Communities Credit Union in Grand Chute was robbed, the robbers fled on foot and have yet to be caught.
With a police canine at the time, Grand Chute had to call another agency for help. Although that dog arrived within a half hour, it was too late to track the scent.
If Grand Chute had a dog on duty, police say it would’ve been there within three minutes, significantly upping the chances of catching suspects.
