NYS Park Police Officer Speaks About Rescue

Monday afternoon, a Lieutenant with the New York State Park Police spoke for the first time since he and another officer were rescued when their boat ran aground just 1,000 feet from the horseshoe Falls early Saturday morning.

Since 1984, Lt. Patrick Moriarty has been rescuing people from the brink of Niagara Falls, but around 4 a.m. Saturday morning, for the first time, he found that he was the one in need of rescuing.
