Lexington county deputies are rewarding kids who helpothers with a catfish tournament.
Friday was the second annual Sheriff James Metts Children’s Catfish Tournament.
In West Columbia, kids came out with fishing poles at the catfish pond on Craigsen Lane.
“You see a lot of kids having fun, some of them are fishing for the first time,” said Lexington Deputy David Nieves. “They even get excited when they catch a little brim. But we have some kids who have caught some large catfish out here today.”
