Portland Police Ride To DC To Honor Fallen Officers

A group of Portland police officers are in Washington, DC to honor their fallen comrades, including one from their own department.

National Police Week is held every year to recognize and pay tribute to law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty.

Thousands of men and women who wear the uniform took part in a unity tour Thursday. Officers on motorcycles and bicycles rode to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.More than 300 names of fallen law enforcement officers were added to the memorial this year alone, including a veteran sergeant from the Portland Police Department.
