Frankfort Police Officer Derrick Napier was working undercover on a cocaine deal as part of a federal investigation when something almost blew his cover.
A car pulled up and parked next to Napier’s unmarked, tinted SUV in the parking lot of a Lexington bowling alley. The driver got out and began loading high-powered rifles and pistols, then tucked them out of sight.
Napier, who was watching the action from a video surveillance system while lying in the back of the SUV, told his partner Ronnie to keep quiet.
“… Because he likes to bark,” Napier, a K-9 officer, recalled Wednesday.
