Five yellow Labrador retrievers will this week hit Metro-North Railroad rails between Greenwich and New Haven as part of a new State Police anti-terrorism unit.

Raised since birth to sniff out explosive devices on trains, in luggage, on rail platforms or bus stations, the dogs, each with an assigned handler are part of the State Police Mass Transit Security Unit, a new program financed with a $1.875 million federal transit security grant to the state Department of Transportation.
