Community Supports Injured Officer At Benefit Dinner

Hundreds of people turned out Saturday for a benefit dinner held to honor a police officer who was critically injured after falling from a jersey barrier while chasing a suspect.

Corporal Dan Hahn, of the Cranberry Police Department, continues to recover from the back and leg injuries he suffered on Feb. 14.

He was in attendance at the spaghetti dinner benefit Saturday evening. It was held at St. Ferdinand Church in Cranberry Township through 7 p.m.

“The big thing is they are thanking us for the job that we do every day,” said Cpl. Hahn. “As police officers, firemen, EMS people, we go out and just do it, and you don’t think about – this is going to happen to me or anything like that – but the support is incredible.”
