Kendo, Jasmine and Bishop play some big roles in the Lower Makefield Police Department.
On Wednesday, they searched for bombs in preparation of President Barack Obama’s visit to Falls. They’re called on to help find people who are lost, search for drugs, track down crime suspects, clear out buildings and crowd control.
The K-9s’ handlers also tag along on the calls. Since Lower Makefield started its K-9 unit more than four years ago, Kendo, Jasmine and Bishop have responded to more than 250 service calls, according to police Chief Ken Coluzzi.
