Salem County Sheriff’s Officer, K-9 partner graduate from John & Sonny Burke K-9 Academy

A Salem County Sheriff’s Officer and his K-9 partner recently graduated from the John “Sonny” Burke K-9 Academy.

The ceremony, held on Dec. 3, graduated 10 canine teams during festivities held at the Richard Stockton College. The academy is also known as the Atlantic County K-9 Academy.

These K-9 handlers participated in an intensive 12-week scent certification program.
Salem County Sheriff’s Officer Jimmy Endres and his K-9 partner, Roxy, a 3-year-old German shepherd, are expected to start their duties immediately.

The handlers traveled throughout South Jersey to accomplish the training necessary to graduate.
