The Pismo Beach Police Officers Association along with a couple hundred volunteers dished up a traditional turkey dinner Wednesday afternoon to anyone wanting a free holiday meal.
A steady stream of hungry people looking to fill their stomachs and reconnect with friends filed into the Pismo Beach Veterans Memorial Hall when serving started at 1 p.m.
“We enjoy it,” said Phyllis Ramey of Grover Beach. “What we like about it is that we know a lot of people and don’t see them (during the year). We see them here and it’s fun to visit.”
