After more than three decades behind the badge, Capt. Mark Chandless is retiring from the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department.
“Throughout his career, Capt. Chandless has demonstrated great courage and leadership,” Sheriff Steve Durfor said, “and he’s been a role model and mentor to so many in the department. He has a tremendous knowledge of the profession.”
Chandless joined the sheriff’s department in 1981 as a patrol deputy.
