K-9 in crash released from hospital
A police dog has been released from an animal hospital after a cruiser crash that also injured his human partner.
Rudi, a Plantation Police K-9, left the Hollywood Animal Hospital Monday after being involved in a serious car crash last week.
Rescuers took Rudi out of the back of the squad car and to the hospital when Plantation Police K-9 Officer Curtis Hampton and Rudi were involved in a head-on collision. A sport utility vehicle jumped the median in the 6900 block of West Broward Boulevard and struck Hampton’s vehicle.
