Local law enforcement held an open information session for perspective female recruits Saturday afternoon at Midland College.
The event was not a job fair, rather organizers hoped to spark a conversation with potential recruits and to assuage any doubts or apprehensions about joining law enforcement.
“We’re just trying to encourage more young women to look into this field,” Officer Stephanie Newton said.
