‘Cops’ comes for Savannah

Crime may be ugly, but in Savannah, at least it happens in a pretty setting.

Zach Ragsdale, producer for the TV show “Cops,” said that’s why they picked Savannah for the new season of the show.

“I think Savannah’s a beautiful city,” Ragsdale said. “It’s a great backdrop to shoot something like this because it looks different from most places we show.”

The show has been on the air since 1989, and this summer was the first time it was filmed in Savannah.
