New sheriff, new style

SANTA ANA – It’s a bright Tuesday morning and Sandra Hutchens’ corner office at the Orange County Sheriff’s Department is filled with sunlight, showing off a new paint job on the bare white walls.

She’s meeting with a visitor, sitting in a soft-backed chair and drinking coffee from a mug that is the only six-pointed star in the room – the cup is adorned with a gold badge and an anti-drug message on the back.
